I’ve known Guido for a lifetime, since school. We attended the same group of friends, since we were children, when we used to play with the rubber-rifle  or the small cars moved by rolling the dice.We always had a lot of fun, and it was natural for me to follow Guido on his karting adventure.We all started together and tried to help him, someone driving the car, someone else cleaning the kart. We entered the speedboat’s world since the time we secretly tried his boat with a Selva engine: we took a race each, but Guido immediately proved to be the fastest.At the very beginning of our adventure with the races, it was a real fun, we attended all he races in various circuits around the world, carrying the boat on the trolley attached behind our car. We had no trucks at that time!Afterwards, though things became more serious our relation has not changed: Guido is always the same “big head”, you can’t say “NO” to him! Thanks to his stubbornness, the results arrived. Sometimes he is wrong too, but not so often, in fact! At the beginning of this adventure, he had a lot of accidents and broke many engines. The truth was that he drove less powerful boats than the others and tried to emerge by accelerating to the maximum.Then, the situation improved: he was still strong and we started building hulls and became the innovators particularly concerning safety. When Guido achieved his first world title, it was both a point of arrival and a starting point. The group is always the same, and if I look backwards, I have to say we lived and are still living  a dream! It’s incredibile, I really like this life. Guido may sometimes be heavy, but I must admit he has more merits than flaws, and that’s ok to me!
