UIM F2 – Rashed Al Qemzi (Abu Dhabi Team #35) maintains the leadership of world championship, thanks to second place at the Norvegian GP. Good race also for Rashed Al Tayer (Abu Dhabi Team #36), who gained 5th place
Great race by Rashed Al Qemzi, who fought Stefan Hagin (GER) for the victory of the Norvegian GP, until the last lap: both the drivers led a perfect race, reaching the finish line with a second and half distance, and an average of over 114 km for hour., dominating the race from start to finish!
With the second position gained, Rashed Al Qemzi consolidated his leadership in the World Championship, with 35 points , followed by Zandberger ( NL, 21 p.) and Stefan Hagin (D, 20 p.).Rashed Al Tayer’s race was also excelent: starting from the back, he was able to conquer the third step of the podium, with an incredibile comeback in the first 10 laps, but unfortunately, after the race and the podium, the judges decided to impone a penalty turn to on boat #36, Rashed al Tayer, for not maintaining the starting line and this fact leads Al Tayer, who finished third, in fifth place in the final ranking). They also decided to disqualify boats # 54 (Segenmark) and #77 (Munthe-Kaas) due to irregularities during the race.
The next race scheduled is the Italian GP on August 24th and 25th, in Brindisi.
